Most beautiful frog song

Yesterday was Iz's birthday. Celebrated on google.  He is probably most famous for "Somewhere over the rainbow".  But my favorite song my be Kamalani. Written by Kauai legend Larry Rivera, it is a song about a frog prince. As he tells the story, Grace Guslander asked him to write a romantic song, so he went down to the pond at night and wrote this romantic song about the bullfrogs singing at night.  Later, Iz asked if he could do his own rendition of it, and I consider it one of the most beautiful songs.

Also, whenever I hear about Kamalani playground/park (which is a half mile from Coco palms), I cannot help but to sing this song.

New favorite commedian

Duncan has has a new show on netflix called midnight express. I watch it before bed and I think it causes my dreams to go crazy. The show is a straight trip. The premise is that the show was really a podcast that gets turned into wacky cartoon.  Yesterday, on episode 2, he goes down to this planet, and the little clowns pop out of fruits, then these dogs eat the clowns, then the clowns catch the dogs, and he is thrown into the truck with the dogs, then they grind the dogs into ground meat, and the clowns eat the ground meat, and all throughout this, he is giving an interview.

:(

Lost Charlie this month. It's been 12 days, and still very hard.

I miss him at meal times, when it's time to go for a walk. He was always the first one out the door with his tail at full attention.   He learned to howl at the answering machine from his buddy. In 12 years we only found one thing he wouldn't eat, spicy peppers.  Occasionally he wouldn't eat lettuce. He was our robo vacuum that would clean up after the kids or anything that fell in the kitchen.  We waited 12 years for his beard and eyebrows to fill in and they never did, but we still loved it and his natural Mohawk. Like all dogs he appreciated a belly rub, but maybe a little more than your average dog as he would lay on his back with feet in the air for 20 minutes watching you, hoping for your attention.  Chewies and squeaky toys never stood a chance. He acted like a puppy, until he couldn't walk anymore. Every day was another step down the hill.  Charlie had a long history, he was there before kids, when kids came, when kids grew up. We hung out 24/7 for the last 10 years. His nickname was Chogee (what the kids pronounced). Through the years we had a couple close calls, when you wandered off with a kid, but you always found your way back for dinner.

I went to dark place after you passed, and I don't think I have left. It is still hard.

How to bypass Intelliguard 900-IQ

I had a clifford alarm, IntelliGuard 900-IQ that is about 16 years old.  The remotes stopped working about 8 years ago.  Clifford no longer publishes the wiring diagrams for these alarms. One of my relays went bad in my alarm. According to the relay specs, the relays are rated for so many on-off switches before they fail, each relay is $24, and would have to be re-soldered to the PCB. This caused a loud clicking noise when driving and all lights to flicker. I could not just remove the main head unit on the alarm because it was wired with a starter kill.  I needed to bypass (remove/get rid of) the alarm but without a wiring diagram it is very difficult. I found a wiring diagram for an Intelliguard 800-IQ. Turns out the wiring is the same.

Disconnect the battery. Instead of splicing back the cut wire in the diagram.  As seen in the diagram, if shorting pins 30 and 87A of your harness it bypasses the starter kill. Then removing the unit from the harness and your car goes back to normal. I used a small piece of solid gauge wire (from romex) flattened the ends and shorted the relay harness as shown in the picture. Hopefully this helps the next person who has the same alarm. Remember to reconnect your battery.
