Horsehair Worm

I just read about these things. This is crazy. The horse hair worm is a parasite. It grows inside the host, where it lays eggs in the intestine tracks. The eggs hatch and have hooks to grab onto the walls. The worm then infects the hosts brain and causes the host to drown itself. Sort of like a zombie. The worm wants the host to drown itself, so that it can reproduce in the water and infect its next victim. This is some crazy stuff.

If you think about all the movies about aliens coming down to earth, there isn't a real good depiction of them. Typically they are nasty creatures hellbent on killing us and using our bodies and natural resources. Here are the first few alien movies that come to mind:

There are a few good movies that depict aliens in a good way though

• The day the earth stood still (I haven't seen it yet, the classic or remake)

I wonder if aliens ever do show up, and what if they were cool with interspecies development. They would learn our language, soon after they sign up for a netflix account, and start going through our catalog of movies. I wonder if they will ever say "Whoa, you guys are a bunch of a-holes, we weren't anything like that!". Then they will say "Hey, you want to see what movies we made about what we thought you were going to be like?". That would be pretty crazy.

Southpark

I can't say I have ever watched the show South Park(TM) until last week. I always thought the show was trashy and lame. Boy, have I been missing out, or I have started to stoop to trashy lame shows.

Thats messed up

Snuggies for dogs...come on, thats messed up. I don't think the dog is concerned about access to his arms while he sits on the couch and watches TV. Plus, dogs have fur coats.
