Time vs. Money
You can either have a s*load of money and no time, or a s*load of time and no money. Everyone in between is getting wasted and killing time.
Personally, I would take time over money. There are ways to entertain yourself on a budget.

They don't make them like they used to
They are re-releasing the H1/Humvee to the civilian market. They won't be cheap. $59K gets you a shell kit. No engine, no interior, soft doors, soft top, no special perks (like the winch, CTIS, runflats, power options, etc)....
Still,.... if I wasn't bogged down by building up the family farm I would sell mine and get this one :). I have realized over the last few years that my lifestyle really means I should drive cars with
- little or no interior (drain plugs in the floor are a must),
- maybe power windows (nothing else needs to be power, i.e. locks, mirrors, sunroof)
- doors can be optional
- 4WD
- safe
[for now, add this to my Christmas wish list, either 2 door or slantback please]

Studying the dynamics of the hive
Yesterday the hive decided to move on its own out of the boxes. I found them about 30 feet from the hive box. I found them by almost accidentally stepping on the them. I went home to get my suit, returned and scooped them up and returned them to the box.Lets just say they weren't happy about being moved. I found about 50 stingers in my welding gloves.Luckily only a few pierced through far enough.
As I was making trips back and forth I discovered the queen crawling on the ground. I scooped her up and quickly ran her to the box. The rest of the hive started swarming back to the old home. I think they were tripped out by the new box and getting attacked by ants.
Here is a video I took yesterday.
They were still around today, doing some housecleaning.
The dynamics are interesting. I watched them carry out the dead. Which I had known they do as part of their house keeping, but what was a shocker was they also carried out weak bees, but instead of dumping them outside the door on the ground below, a single bee would carry the dead off to the field and drop them off about 45 feet away.... that is crazy. I guess its all about the good of the hive. Hard to think about the good of the hive when a bee's life is only 2 months or so.
So much to learn.

Who is Spike Jonze
Sometimes the internet leads you on a journey. One thing leads to another that leads to another.
Someone posted this video
Mr Little Jeans - The Suburbs (Arcade Fire cover)
A catchy little tune. Turns out its a cover for:
Arcade Fire - The suburbs.
Which is what led me to the robo luv video. Then the 28 minute video short scenes from the suburbs. Then to his Wikipedia page Spike Jonze. Turns out he has directed lots of videos. The jackass series, the Beastie Boys Sabotage video, and others. I will have to keep the journey going. See where else this takes me.
