Friday's deep thought

In the news was a [yet anothernewly discovered earth like planet. Within the next 100 or so years we will embark (or at least hope to) on space exploration.

New Earth-Like Goldilocks planet discovered by astronomers in alien solar system. The planet discovered is 20 light years from Earth with basic and essential conditions needed to support extraterrestrial life.

The first family that dedicates there lives for space exploration will certainly have an adventure on their hands. Think Star Trek or Lost in Space. The weird thing is, this planet is 20 light years away. Which will probably take (at a minimum) 10 generations of people to arrive at. When they leave Earth they will likely be living in a weightless environment until they arrive at their destination. Their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will be born and live life in a weightless environment. Imagine everyone flying, every day. For a hundred years, everyone flies around this little town floating in space. Then...they land on this planet. Now everyone is forced to walk. The people would say "We used to fly everywhere, and now we have to walk, this sucks.". Its the exact opposite if everyone on earth one day started flying. We would all say "This is awesome." Pretty trippy.

I think the Hawaiian organic lettuce is getting to me. These
