In the news

News title "Man angry at IRS crashes plane into building"
Source 1: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100218/ap_on_re_us/us_plane_crash_texas
And a source for his "manifesto" http://www.businessinsider.com/joseph-andrew-stacks-insane-manifesto-2010-2

I read the entire letter. Yes, the government is built around taking your money and figuring how to spend it, but this guy is a nut job.

1.) If I read, and understood his final letter correctly, he got together with a bunch of other wackos, and tried to create a charitable organization (or religion) that they could donate money, pay themselves, and write it off. Then they clamped down on that. And he claims that he was right? I guess they forced him to pay back all the money. Seems fair. You cheat the system, get caught, you have to pay it back.

2.) Then he or his CPA incorrectly filed taxes and he owed money. Well no shit!

3.) Then one year he didn't make any money, and didn't know he didn't have to file. I thought most people knew that. I can see that as an honest mistake. I don't think he should have been charged, but I don't think there is a $10K fine for not filing. I believe the $10K was probably legal fees.

4.) Yes, Austin pays less than California. Its not a coupe of 4 businesses to enslave locals. Its called regional wages.

This is the complete ramblings of a mad man.

I will agree, taxes are out of control, but this guy is a nut. Anyone who uses the term "Organized religion" in an ill mannered context is a nut. What would they prefer, "unorganized religion"? Where you can worship cows, chickens, elephants, slice off your arm and drain the blood out?
